Top pick: #3 (OLYMPIC LADY) (7-2) - Well backed when debuting at Del Mar at this level in late July, she missed by a 'nose' and had some late traffic issues. She was 2 1/2 lengths clear of the show runner that afternoon and that filly was an impressive maiden winner next out. On the sidelines since, she's working above average and will move to conventional dirt and stretch out in distance.
nd pick: #1 (Rockin Dorita) (4-1) - One of four fillies making their debuts, grey daughter of 'Rockport Harbor' is working very fast and breaks from the rail. $47,000 purchase is very dangerous if she runs to her a.m. drills.
rd pick: #2 (Awesome Luck) (12-1) - Off 'slowly' in her debut March 28th, Harris home bred tired after rushing up to chase a quick pace. Four-year-old by 'Ghostzapper' has worked very fast since and can factor at long odds.
th pick: #10 (Ain't She Pretty) (8-1) - Another price play, she tired after racing wide when debuting March 28th in a contest common to several others. Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer (26% second time out) adds blinkers. Well backed first out, think she'll be competitive at a big price.
th pick: #5 (Jean Edward) (5-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, she's finished second in four of six starts, with all those placings coming on conventional dirt. Working fast, she's an obvious threat, but at a short price.
