Top pick: #7 (REAL HEAT) (4-1) - Improving colt rallied while extremely wide to finish 3rd here at this level going "down the hill" on March 10. He'd just missed in his previous start at this mile distance and will be running 3rd back from a 2 1/2 month break. Bejarano stays put and this son of "Unusual Heat" is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #6 (Super Ability) (3-1) - Very lightly raced, he finished 2nd at this level sprinting here on the dirt on Feb 15 in his first back from a very long layoff (19 1/2 months. Training fast for this, trainer Carla Gaines moves him to the grass and has him going two-turns, both for the first time.
rd pick: #1 (In a Wine Tizzy) (5-2) - The possible favorite, gelding has been beaten a neck & a head at this level and distance in his past two starts and speed/stalker draws the rail. Obvious win threat, but is beatable.
th pick: #10 (Troy Story) (6-1) - Veteran maiden finished a wide & even 4th last out going "down the hill" and in his previous appearance he was only 1 1/2 lengths back of "Tizzy" at this mile distance. He's looking like he may need a drop into claimers to get his first win, but is dangerous nontheless.
th pick: #11 (Warren's Nicholas) (8-1) - No speed type is improving, but this tough outside post hurts his chances quite a bit. Grye colt will need a "heady" ride and some pace help for anything more than a minor award.
