Top pick: #1 (CHAMPAGNE D) - Has the rail and some fine early speed. She didn't fire here going 7 furlongs Dec. 26, but she was very wide and early in this meet that was a recipe for losing. Think she has a big chance today to "upset" the heavy choice.
2nd pick: #2 (Blind Luck) - The probable heavy favorite is a proven Grade One runner and never runs a bad race. Strong finisher is working fast on the new dirt surface here and 5 of her 9 lifetime wins are on the real thing. She'd be no surprise, though the price will be short.
3rd pick: #6 (Always a Princess) - Filly looks like the main-speed and has a pair of bullet drills coming into this. Bejarano stays put and this filly could stay on top a long ways at a square price.
