Top pick: #6 (FOLLINI) (10-1) - Longshot just missed here in a sharp effort facing weaker on Jan. 1. It was his first since last March and he's worked fast since. Has a solid shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #2 (San Onofre) (6-5) - The probable heavy favorite, he's won four in a row and is working very fast locally for his first since last Feb. Stalker has the rail and if he's ready off the long layoff the rest are in trouble.
3rd pick: #3 (Rousing Sermon) (4-1) - He gives his best every time but appears to like a bit more ground. That said, veteran like it here 11-3-2-1 and he should get a fast pace to rally into.
4th pick: #4 (Frensham) (12-1) - Longshot was competitive here in the G1 "Malibu" stakes Dec. 26. Another that prefers longer distances, a repeat of his latest can make him dangerous.
