Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (NORSKI) (3-1) - He raced evenly when finishing a non-threatening 3rd here at this distance Sept. 27 for a $40K claiming price. Trainer Hector Palma drops him in half ($20K), adds blinkers, and this 3yo draws a fine outside post. I give him top billing.
2nd pick: #7 (Dubnation) (5-2) - 4yo chased and held to finish third at Los Alamitos going 5.5 furlongs Sept. 14 facing $45K claimers at the state bred condition. It was his first since May 4 and he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (An American Jet) (9-2) - Improving colt rallied to finish second here at this level going 7 furlongs Oct. 3. He's stringing starts together after coming off a 13.5 month layoff in late July and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (Git On Your Pulpit) (4-1) - He tired to finish 6.5 lengths behind 'Norski' Sep 13 in his first start since last October. In his follow up Sept. 29, he checked a pace-prompting 3rd here at this level and is dangerous with further improvement.
