Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (SEDAMAR) (8-1) - Just like every horse entered here, this filly is racing on the grass for the first time. She tired while wide sprinting here on the dirt at this level Oct. 4 but showed sharp early speed that afternoon. Longshot is from a capable barn (Mick Ruis) and he has veteran Marty Garcia replacing apprentice Fuentes.
2nd pick: #3 (Kookie Gal) (7-2) - Debuting filly worked 6 furlongs in 1:13.40 at the San Luis Rey Center Oct. 6. Leading trainer Peter Miller (16% first out) has Flavien Prat aboard and they've won with 31-of-125 (25%) when teamed up over the past 21.5 months.
3rd pick: #4 (Gotta Be Lucky) (6-1) - Even paced and experienced, the filly is stretching out in distance, while switching to the grass. She's bred for the surface and think she can be competitive in this sub-par field for the level.
4th pick: #2 (The Pet) (15-1) - Longshot has had problems at the break in both starts and she showed early speed before tiring once in stride. Bred to handle the grass, she has a fine post and can impact at a very big price.
