Top pick: #4 (TAP IT IN) (4-1) - Very lightly-raced 6-year-old faces winners for the first time after a hsrp maiden win over a large field (12) going 7 furlongs at Del Mar on Aug. 24. He's working fine since and gets the call in a "wide open" finale.
nd pick: #2 (Sarangani) (7-2) - Speedy gelding hasn't seen action since last Dec. when he raced evenly here after a troubled start facing much tougher. Lightly-raced 4-year-old is working very fast, breaks just off the rail, and is a win candidate if ready.
rd pick: #9 (Amp and Adrenalin) (3-1) - Gelding drops slightly after finishing second at del mar for a $16K tag on Aug. 30. Freshened up since, he's working fine and has been competitive on conventional dirt in the past.
th pick: #7 (Public Defender) (5-1) - He rallied from far back to break his maiden going 7 furlongs at Fairplex Sept. 18. Lightly-raced and well-bred, he should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
th pick: #8 (Genius) (10-1) - Nicely bred 5-year-old gelding raced both wide and evenly facing tougher going 6 furlongs at Fairplex on Sept. 8. Race was his first since June 29th and he'll drop in price and stretch out in distance.
