Top pick: #9 (AARON AGAIN) (7-2) - Very lightly-raced, he's stretching out in distance in his second back from a 17-month layoff. Gelding by 'Grand Slam' showed good early speed before tiring here at this tag going 5.5-furlongs in his return to action April 9th. He's worked four times since, all on the quick side, presumably with the blinkers that Vlad Cerin adds this afternoon.
2nd pick: #5 (Trash Talker) (4-1) - Heavily bet in both starts earlier this year, he's been on the sidelines since Feb 16. Gelding tired in each of those, one on turf and the other on dirt. Training fast for his return, trainer Mike Puype drops him way down in class while stretching him out in distance. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Blame It on Tekela) (3-1) - Speed/stalker has been competitive in four straight here going two-turns, at and around this claiming price. He's moving off the inside and that should mean a better and less stressful trip.
4th pick: #6 (Flexible) (8-1) - Stretch runner is racing third off almost a four month break. He finished fourth last out while 6-lengths behind 'Tekela.' However, he had a tough outside post that day (10th of 10) and was forced into a very wide trip. Draws better for this and you get Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer at a big price for a change.
