Top pick: #5 (SUPERBOOT) (3-1) - Irish import showed good early speed before tiring during the stretch run racing here for twice this price April 11th. Race was his first since early Sept. and first in North America. The Hollendorfer barn drops his tag in half, adds blinkers, and gelding has a bullet half-mile breeze on May 1st. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #10 (Stealth Fighter) (20-1) - Longshot hasn't shown anything in three starts, but is working extremely fast for his first since March 2nd. Bred/owned/trained by Bruce Headley and a threat if he can reproduce his AM times in the afternoon.
3rd pick: #11 (Tasha's Courage) (3-1) - Lightly-raced home-bred by "Medaglia d'Oro" has finished second in three of four starts at this meet and his one run style and outside post make him a factor again in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (Tavern Law) (8-1) - He's raced "greenly" in both starts facing much tougher and trainer Bob Hess jr. will drop him way down in price for this assignment. Working fine and this gelding has taken some money in both starts.
