Top pick: #7 (ROCKIN COWGIRL) (7-2) - Very speedy filly showed vast improvement last out when she held gamely to finish third here at this tag going 6 furlongs on Feb. 21. As is normal for her she's worked fast since and her connections will shorten her up a bit in distance. The owner's son (jockey Vince Guerra) comes in again from Turf Paradise for the ride.
2nd pick: #4 (Coconut Cream Pie) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she rallied to miss by a neck when debuting here racing for a $30K tag on Feb. 10. Trainer John Sadler has worked her five times since and moves her up in pice for her second outing.
3rd pick: #5 (Lucky Student) (7-2) - She tired while racing a bit "rank" last out facing state-bred special weights going "down the hill" on the grass Feb. 24. Race was her first since June 17 and her connections move her to real dirt and drop her into a claimer, both for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Puttybadshark) (4-1) - She finished a bit over two lengths in back of "Cowgirl" last out and did so despite breaking slowly. She's worked three times since, has the rail, and is a big threat with a "clean" break.
