Top pick: #5 (PROFIRE) (7-5) - The probable favorite, he just missed here last out at this tag and trip and is now in shape following a pair of layoffs. Stalker had a sharp work a week ago, meets a weak field, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Bosque Angel) (7-2) - Home-bred from trainer Bruce Headly finished close-up when debuting here for a $30K tag on Feb. 15. Gelding has worked very fast twice since, drops down a bit, and draws the rail. Believe he's the main danger.
3rd pick: #3 (Slewissurfing) (5-1) - Gelding debuts off a steady series of works dating back to early December. Home-bred is from the barn of veteran Ron Ellis and trainer has had a very strong meet.
4th pick: #6 (Spectacularjourney) (6-1) - Five-year-old rallied to finish third last out and was two back of "Profire" at the finish. It was his best since coming off a 6 1/2 month layoff on Jan. 11 and he's worked fast since. Stretch threat.
