Top pick: #2 (UNMARKED BILLS) (5-2) - Colt rallied into a fast pace after a poor start to finish second here at this tag on Feb. 21. Trainer Rick Mandella switches back to Jeff Talamo after a one race absence and this home-bred by "Posse" is the horse to beat.
nd pick: #1 (Deception Free) (3-1) - Speedy and improving, he's finished second here in two straight since returning off a two month break on Jan. 24 and is an obvious threat.
rd pick: #5 (Warren's Bugler) (5-1) - One-run type rallied up the rail to finish third in the same Feb. 21 contest as "Bills" and was only a bit more than a length back of him at the wire. Race was his first in 75 days and he's worked twice since.
th pick: #10 (Green Team) (12-1) - He "bobbled" at the break in his latest and raced both wide and evenly once in stride. Home-bred was withing "hailing" distance of "Bills" and "Bugler" and can factor at a square price with an alert getaway.
th pick: #7 (Catquest) (8-1) - Lightly raced, he showed little at this tag on Feb. 8, but it was his first since April 22nd. Trainer Brial Koriner adds the hood and this 4-year-old has some impressive works heading into this, presumably with the blinkers in place.
