Top pick: #9 (ATINANCO) (5-1) - He's working fast for his first since debuting on Feb. 16th facing a bit tougher. He showed some fine early speed while wide, and tired late to finish seventh of 10, beaten 8 1/2 lengths. Drops, is in a solid second out barn (Bruce Headley, 22%), and 3yo by "Sky Mesa" can take this at a square price.
nd pick: #7 (Onebadshenanigan) (7-2) - Gelding has been on the sidelines since showing good early speed before weakening facing better in early August at Del Mar. Working steadily for his return, and trainer Jeff Mullins drops him into a high priced claimer.
rd pick: #3 (Philanderer) (6-1) - One of five making their debuts, 5yo has some extremely quick local works on view and is a major player if he can reproduce those times in the afternoon.
th pick: #4 (The Gold Monkey) (8-1) - "Firster" is in the same barn (Bruce Headley) as "Atinanco" and has been in steady training here since early March. Veteran trainer is capable with debuting stock, and this 3yo should sneak away at a big price.
th pick: #8 (Table Twentyone) (10-1) - Another debuting runner, he's in a good barn (Mark Glatt), and gelding by "Tribal Rule" has some quick gate breezes on his tab. Must be left in the mix.
