Top pick: #9 (MEDICINE BUTTE) (4-1) - Filly hasn't raced since finishing a sharp pace-setting second when debuting here at this level in late Sept. She broke quickly that day and set very fast fractions. Working steadily and can win this if ready.
2nd pick: #12 (Lucy in Diamonds) (6-1) - She's one of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Filly chased and weakened late to finish a close up fourth here when debuting on Jan. 11. Trainer wins at a 24% rate second time out and this daughter of "Rock Hard Ten" has worked three times since her first outing.
3rd pick: #10 (Scuti de Patuti) (8) - Grey filly raced evenly while finishing third at Los Alamitos on Dec. 19. Working very fast since then, she looks set for a big effort.
4th pick: #2 (Thermo Dynamics) (6-1) - Heavily bet in both starts, she ran second in her debut but raced evenly and wide last out while not threatening. Trainer Dan Hendricks adds blinkers and this filly worked a very quick 6-furlongs on Jan. 27.
5th pick: #3 (Stipend) (15-1) - Reddam home bred has been competitive in one of three starts. Working well here for her first since Dec. 19, it's noted that she's taken some betting action in all her appearances. May get a share at a big price.
