Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (IMPECUNIOUS) (7-5) - The probable favorite, she finished second here at this level going 5.5 furlongs Jan. 6. It was her second back from a six month layoff, first ever in a claimer, and first on conventional dirt. She's worked fast since and should break her maiden in this spot.
2nd pick: #3 (Lucky Lula) (3-1) - 'Lula" has been idle since Oct. 29. All three previous starts have been against tougher and she does have early speed. Training steadily for her first in three months, she's dropping into a claimer for the first time.
3rd pick: #8 (My Claw) (6-1) - No-speed type made up a bit of ground last out but was four lengths in back of 'Impecunious'. She had a wide trip from an outside post and gets an additional 1/16th of a mile today.
4th pick: #9 (Dee Way to Go) (10-1) - She chased 'Impecunious' last out before weakening to be beaten 10 lengths. It was her first start in seven months and she should be much more competitive today at a big price.
