Top pick: #2 (BELLAMY CONCERTO) (3-1) - Improving and lightly raced, gelding missed by a 'nose' at this level and distance in an 'off the turf' contest Feb 22. A career best overall, 4-year-old by 'Bellamy Road' had finished third on the turf in his previous start. Gets a very slight edge.
nd pick: #3 (War Destiny) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he was 1 1/2 back of 'Bellamy' on Feb 22 in a race switched from turf to dirt. Stalker has been competitive in all three appearances and is working very fast for this attempt. Strong win candidate.
rd pick: #8 (Barbary Coast) (6-1) - Colt raced evenly after a slow start in the same Feb 22nd race that both 'Bellamy Concerto' and 'War Destiny' exit. He's worked very fast since and this $250K purchase can factor at a square price.
th pick: #4 (Hauler) (10-1) - Improving colt ran evely following a sloe break racing here at this level and distance on the grass March 6. It was his first since late Dec and the best yet from this $325K son of 'Super Saver.' Working well and blinkers go on.
th pick: #10 (Mr Cartagena) (8-1) - He debuts off a steady work tab dating back to mid-January. Home bred by 'Pulpit' is in the barn of 'Hall of Famer' Rick Mandella and a threat if ready.
