He's 2 for 3 locally and won the G2 Kona Gold stakes here going 6.5-furlongs April 11. Very quick from the gate, he's working well for this attempt and Cal bred won his only previous race at this 7-furlong distance last August at Del Mar.
2nd pick: #2 (San Onofre) (3-1) - He was beaten just under a length by 'Masochistic' last out on May 25. That ran his overall record to 8-4-4-0 and he's 7-3-4-0 here at Santa Anita. Working fast and he's another that won his only other start at this distance. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Wild Dude) (6-1) - Veteran sprint stakes performer has a fine local record 10-3-2-3 and last out finished 3rd here in the G3 Los Angeles Stakes May 25. He draws outside of what should be a lively pace and is a stretch threat at a square price.
4th pick: #4 (Sahara Sky) (3-1) - There was a time when he would have been heavily favored against this field, but strong finisher has had some injuries over the past 2-years that have limited his activity. This is his best distance and 7yo is 10-5-2-1 at Santa Anita. A major player with his 'A' game.
