Strong finisher won a $200K stakes here going 6.5-furlongs April 4th and is training fine for this longer attempt.
2nd pick: #2 (Thermodynamics) (7-2) - She's moving back to the dirt after a pair of back-to-back career best efforts on the local turf. She's still improving and has been working very fast on the local main track. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (La Fiera) (4-1) - Home bred has won three of his last four at Golden Gate Fields. Two of those have come on the synthetic main track there, with the latest April 25th coming on the grass. Another strong finisher, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer has her racing on conventional dirt for the first time.
4th pick: #4 (Niassa) (6-1) - Experienced filly has won on both real dirt and 'poly.' She has early speed, is in shape, and had a very sharp 5-furlong breeze at Golden Gate Fields May 17th before shipping back here.
