Top pick: #2 (LADY OF FIFTY) (7-5) - Grey filly has won two in a row and the first of that pair came on this surface when she won the "Palm Springs" stakes here on Nov. 1 going a mile. She followed that up with a sharp win at Hollywood on Dec. 8 in the (G2) Bayakoa Hdcp. Working well since and she has a tactical edge on "Book Review' with much better early speed.
2nd pick: #3 (Book Review) (6-5) - She rallied into a fast pace to upset "My Miss Aurelia" here going 7 furlongs on Dec. 26 in the "La Brea" stakes (G1). She'll be stretching back out in distance and in her only previous try at this distance she won at Belmont going around one-turn on Oct. 24.
3rd pick: #5 (Ubelongtomemissy) (15-1) - Longshot ships in from calder where she was probably best last out after a very troubled trip that saw her beaten a nose in her first against winners. Runs today for the first time since that narrow defeat on Oct. 4 and she's been working fast locally for her new trainer (John sadler 26% with new arrivals). Improving and she could factor at a big price.
5th pick: #4 (Willa B Awesome ) (6-1) - She hasn't won since winning 3-of-4 stakes last winter/spring, but is working nicely and some of her best work has been on this surface(5-2-2-0). Her staliking style should be effective in this field and she could factor in the same race exotic bets.
