Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (KAFISTER) (3-1) - He's moving up in class for his first since Aug. 22nd. Gelding was a very impressive winner last out at Del Mar racing for a $32K tag. He's won eight of 16 overall on the dirt and is working fast for his return to action. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Well Measured) (4-1) - Lightly raced 4yo was a sharp winner Sept. 5th at Del Mar facing a bit weaker at this distance. It was his first start in almost seven months, and a repeat of the 'figure' earned makes him a threat.
3rd pick: #4 (Athens) (7-2) - Well bred 4yo has early speed and is dropping back down in class after finishing a pace-setting 3rd at Del Mar in a $100K stakes for Cal-breds Sept. 7th. Gelding had missed by a 'neck' at this level in his previous race and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Alex Rossi) (12-1) - Argentine bred has yet to repeat his sharp form in his native country in two starts since coming here. He's cutting back in distance and moving from turf to dirt. May grab a minor award at a big price.
