2nd pick: #8 (Catfish Hunter) (6-1) - Price play is racing second back from a 5.5-month layoff, is switching back to the grass, and stretching out in distance. Speedy home bred raced both wide and evenly in a dirt sprint at Los Alamitos Sept. 17, and in his only previous grass race he finished 2nd here going a mile March 18. Can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #6 (Copper Wind) (5-1) - Debuting colt has sharp works on view and has been in steady training since July 28. He catches a rather below average group for this level and is a win candidate if ready.
4th pick: #5 (Bold Papa) (3-1) - He just missed here at this level and distance July 3 in his first race in just under two years. 5yo followed that up with a pair of even efforts going a mile at Del Mar and should run better here as he cuts back in distance.
