Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (AVANTI BELLO) (3-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill. Calif. bred stakes winner moves in with 'open' company and has a recency edge on several. Son of 'Include' has more early speed than most and has a fine record 7-2-2-2 on the local dirt.
2nd pick: #3 (Poshsky) (5-1) - Veteran Calif. bred is switching from grass to dirt and is dropping in class. Stretch runner has won on the dirt in the past and is two for three at this distance.
3rd pick: #1 (Blue Tone) (8-1) - Old timer showed next to nothing in a $100K stakes at this distance Aug 24 at Del Mar. It was his first in three months and he tired badly after being sent hard from an outside post. Stakes placed here in the past, gelding is working fine and breaks from the rail. Tough call, but he's a factor if ready.
4th pick: #2 (Just Kidding) (5-1) - Gelding has more speed than most and enters off a pace-setting third place finish at this level and distance Sept. 9 at Los Alamitos. Four-year-old by 'Lemon Drop Kid' has a fine local record 8-1-3-2 and should be involved from gate to wire.
