Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (BARLEYSUGAR) (5-2) - Irish import won a stakes at Del Mar in her North American debut July 17. In her followup start Aug 20 in the G1 Del Mar Oaks she raced wide while beaten just over three lengths. Nicely spotted today, she can win this with her best.
2nd pick: #6 (Flamingo Lane) (6-1) - Mare did not break sharply last out and had to settled for a third place finish at this level and distance Aug 20 at Del Mar. She has much more early speed than shown that day and is a threat from close range.
3rd pick: #7 (Amboseli) (3-1) - No-speed type has gone 3-1-0-2 since coming to North America earlier this year from France. Well bred and still improving, 4yo would love a fast/and or contested pace to develop to help her late charge out.
4th pick: #8 (Scatagirl) (8-1) - Speed/stalker is a bit on the unreliable side, but fits were her 'A' game. Two of her three lifetime wins are local, and they both came at this distance.
