Working way above average, Flavien Prat stays aboard, and I like this one's chances.
2nd pick: #6 (Classy Ruler) (3-1) - A $700,000 yearling purchase, she finished 2nd in her first pair, but disappointed in her latest. Freshened up since Feb. 23, this daughter of 'Empire Maker' is dangerous with her best.
3rd pick: #3 (Crystal Ball) (2-1) - One of a pair entered by Bob Baffert, she's a debuting daughter of 'Malibu Moon' that sold for $750,000 as a 2yo in training in March of 2019. Working fast, it's noted that Drayden Van Dyke, who has had a lot of success with Baffert, is aboard.
4th pick: #4 (Regal Beauty) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert trained pair, she missed by a 'head' when sprinting here in her debut Jan. 26. Stretched out to today's mile trip Feb. 23, she tired to lose by 6.5 lengths. A late threat.
