Top pick: #9 (SCUTI DE PATUTI) (7-2) - Grey filly enters off a second-place finish here on this often tricky 'down the hill' 6.5-furlong grass course. Stretch runner had finished third in her previous race under similar conditions. She had a sharp half-mile work at Los Alamitos May 10th and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #12 (Big Move) (4-1) - Home bred was bet down to 5-2 when debuting here at this level going 6.5-furlongs on the dirt April 25th. Filly pressed a quick pace while racing between horses and weaken slightly in the final furlong to check in fourth. An excellent debut, she's worked fast since, is bred for the grass, and Mike Smith stays aboard. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Redo It) (15-1) - Reddam home bred has raced evenly in both starts at this level and distance. She was 3 1/2 back of 'Scutti' March 15th, then was just under 2 lengths off of her April 19th. Longshot had an excellent half-mile breeze May 10th and is a threat at a big price.
4th pick: #6 (Silver Spectacle) (8-1) - Grey filly ships down from Golden Gate Fields for this attempt. She pressed a solid pace before tiring going a mile on the turf when debuting April 19th. Working fast since, she runs locally off a positive trainer switch to Phil D'Amato, who is having a very strong meet 20-7-2-2. Another who may run well at long odds.
