Top pick: #4 (BLUE BLIZZARD) (7-2) - Grey mare ships down from Golden Gate Fields in sharp form. Five-time winner has yet to win on conventional dirt, but missed by only a 'nose' in late Sept. at Stockton. One-run type should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Queen of the Hill) (2-1) - The probable favorite, once classier grey mare has gone 2-1-1-0 here since returning from a 8 1/2 month layoff in late March. Stalker is racing first off a Pete Miller claim (22%) and this 6-year-old by 'Salt Lake' has an outstanding local record 11-4-3-1. Obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Jetbird) (8-1) - Speedy mare chased while very wide before tiring badly here April 19th. It was her first start in two months and she was 5-lengths back of 'Queen of the Hill' that day. She's worked fast since and is moving to the rail. Price play.
4th pick: #8 (Norastone) (3-1) - Another with early speed, she ran second here for a $10K tag on May 3rd. In shape and filly must be left in the mix.
