Top pick: #7 (MERINGUE PIE) (9-2) - Speedy gelding chased a fast pace and had some traffic issues when before tiring badly here at this tag and trip on May 25th. He's worked very fast since, presumably with the blinkers on that trainer Bill Spawr puts back on after a one race experiment.
2nd pick: #8 (Tenkiller Kid) (7-2) - Win candidate, he stretches out in distance after rallying to run second here at this tag going 6-furlongs on June 7th. It was his first ever at this low a price and he's run well at this trip in the past (5-1-1-1).
3rd pick: #3 (Goyan) (3-1) - Lightly-raced gelding was an easy winner here going a mile on May 11th to get his maiden victory. He tired racing for twice this price 15 days later in his first facing winners and drops back down for this attempt.
4th pick: #4 (Tiz Futurity) (6-1) - His lack of speed hurts his chances, but he has some closing punch and would benefit if the pace was fast and/or contested.
