Top pick: #9 (SAWYER'S HILL) (3-1) - Colt was heavily bet when debuting on Sept. 4th at Del Mar, and rallied while wide to check in third of 10, beaten just under two lengths. On the shelf since, he's training very fast locally, draws a nice outside post at this distance, and Bejarano takes the mount.
2nd pick: #1 (Chelios) (9-5) - The probable heavy favorite, home-bred by "Distorted Humor" rallied to finish second here when debuting at this level Dec. 28th. He's worked twice since, and is an obvious win candidate from his inside draw.
3rd pick: #6 (Superlooper) (9-2) - One of two debuting colts from the Baffert barn, son of "Discreet Cat" cost $410K last March, and has some fine drills on view for a trainer that wins at a 27% clip first out.
4th pick: #8 (Dublin Up) (8-1) - Longshot chased while wide and tired when debuting on the Churchill dirt on Nov. 30th. He's working well for his new trainer (Pete Miller 19% with new arrivals), and blinkers go on.
