Top pick: #7 (RED OUTLAW) (8-5) - Undefeated (5-for-5) gelding has been freshened up since August 29th when he was an easy gate-to-wire winner of a $100k stakes going a mile on the Del Mar "poly." He won a stakes here on the grass at this famous 6.5-furlong "down the hill" trip this past Feb. and is working fast for this. Can take this with best.
2nd pick: #5 (Street Icon) (4-1) - Gelding ran third here facing weaker on the dirt Sept. 26. It was a useful effort in his first since Jan. 16 when he broke his maiden here at this distance. Lightly raced, he has talent and room for upside. Dangerous foe.
3rd pick: #8 (Home School) (6-1) - Irish import has a speed/stalking style and has been competitive a number of times in local stakes without winning. He has a nice post to stalk from and should get a fast pace to track. In the mix.
4th pick: #3 (Darayabi) (7-2) - French import has some talent and more early speed than most "Euros." His latest win came at this distance on June 13th, and well bred colt has some fine works showing as he makes his North American debut.
