Top pick: #10 (JO JO WARRIOR) (4-1) - One of two fillies entered by trainer Bob Baffert, and this daughter of "Pioneer of the Nile" has been freshened up since early Sept. She finished a close up third that day to "Untapable" in the $1,000,000 "Cotillion" stakes (G1). Stalker draws a nice outside post and won a G2 here in late June in her only previous local start. Working fast and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #1 (Taris) (2-1) - The probable favorite, filly has won four of her five starts in easy fashion. Filly by "Flatter" enters off a career best when she won the G2 "Raven Run" at Keeneland at this distance Oct. 18th. The "figure" earned was huge, and she was sold privately soon after the easy score. Working fast locally and a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Stonetastic) (4-1) - Speed/stalker has been freshened up since finishing a pace-setting fourth here in the "Breeder's Cup Filly & Mare Sprint" (G1) on Nov. 1st. Working fast, and she has a shot if able to avoid an early duel with "Taris."
4th pick: #3 (Thank You Marylou) (8-1) - She rallied to finish third last out here on Nov. 1st and was a length better than "Stonetastic" that afternoon. One run type has worked nicely since and longshot has a fine record at this distance (5-2-0-2).
