Top pick: #11 (GOLDIKOVA) - As good as they come. Much was made of "Rachel Alexandra" beating a group of second-rate male runners in the Woodward" (G1) at Saratoga, but in Europe fillies have to run against males as the big money there doesn't come in races written solely for females. This filly has beaten males three times and did so in the 2008 edition of this race. Trainer Freddie Head gave her a "prep" at Longchamp in France for this and it should set her up well for a repeat attempt. This field is much tougher than she defeated last year and she has drawn a tough post. Believe she's still the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Zacinto) - Very lightly-raced Juddmonte home-bred by "Dansili" finished second last out in the "Queen Elizabeth Stakes" (Eng G1) to the much talked about "Rip Van Winkle". Continues to improve in his Time Form numbers and is starting to reach some lofty territory. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Delegator) - Godolphin runner is another by "Dansili" and he's exchanged decisions with "Zacinto" in his last two starts. He's a specialist at this mile distance (6-2-2-1) and they've all come against the best in the Britis Isles. Strong stretch kick is his game and he's a contender.
4th pick: #3 (Cowboy Cal) - The main speed in a race where the pace is projected to be moderate. He's hit "triple digit" figures four times this year, the latest coming in a win here at this distance on October 10 in the "Oak Tree Mile"(G2). He's at the top of his game and is undefeated at this eight furlong trip (three-for-three).
