Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (HENNYTHELOVEPENNY) (3-1) - She's been competitive in two straight and will be shortening up after a mile race at Los Alamitos Sept 13. Filly is nicely drawn and is spotted well by trainer Pete Miller.
2nd pick: #8 (Nite Delite) (9-2) - A recent(Sep 12) maiden winner at Los Alamitos, speed/stalker is working fast for her first facing winners. Lightly raced, she's clearly improving and has more room for up-side. Daughter of 'War Chant' draws a nice outside post at this trip and I almost made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #5 (Yet Anotherkafwain) (5-1) - Another that's lightly-raced, Tommy Town home bred has been freshened up since a sharp maiden win at Del Mar Aug 2. Working steadily since, the figure earned last out is a good fit with these if repeatable.
4th pick: #2 (Cadet Roni) (4-1) - Daughter of 'Colonel John' broke her maiden at Del mar for a $40K tag Aug 19. She came back two weeks later and finished a close up fourth at this level in her first facing winners. Given a five week break, she has Bejarano aboard for the first time.
