Top pick: #4 (IPOLITA) (3-1) - Freshened up since Feb. 17th, filly raced evenly that afternoon facing a bit better. Daughter of "Tribal Rule" had just missed here in her previous start at this level and is working sharply for her return. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (L X Sunrise) (7-2) - Since a very "troubled" debut here on Jan. 12th, this filly has finished second in four straight at this claiming tag. One run type has enough speed to stay well within range and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Patriotic Brother) (4-1) - Debuting home-bred by "Brother Derek" has some very quick works showing, including a sharp five-furlong gate drill here April 30. In a good ban (Pat Biancone), and 4yo is a major threat if she runs to her works.
4th pick: #2 (Broadway Bella) (6-1) - Filly drops back down in class and switches from turf to dirt for this attempt. Daughter of "English Channel" continues to work fast in the morning, and it's noted that up and coming apprentice Van Dyke gets aboard for the first time.
