Top pick: #4 (BIRD IN LOVE) - English bred filly has a bit of speed and has been competitive in all three starts here going "down the hill." She's taken betting action each and runs this afternoon without blinkers after an unsuccessful one race experiment. Gets a slight edge in a three horse mix.
2nd pick: #3 (La Pequena Gigi) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she drops in class after a solid effort here for a $75K tag on May 11th. She tracked that day, made a four-wide bid, and finished third of eight, beaten a length. She's worked fast since and trainer Mark Glatt adds blinkers.
3rd pick: #5 (Nikki Allyn) (4-1) - She debuted in the same May 11th race that "Gigi" exits and filly showed fine early speed before tiring to run fourth, 2 1/2 lengths back of that rival. The hot barn of Pete Miller has worked her three times since and daughter of "Bernstein" must be left in the small win mix.
