Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (J AND S EXPRESS) (7-2) - Consistent veteran mare just missed last out on the Hollywood turf racing at this level going 6-furlongs. 7yo went 16-2-5-2 in 2013, and her speed/stalking style gives her a slight edge.

2nd pick: #1 (Hidethegoodstuff) (4-1) - Tommy Town home-bred has been competitive in all eight starts, and is working very fast locally for her first since Nov. 24th. Speed/stalker has the rail, and noted front-end specialist Marty Pedroza is aboard for the first time. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #4 (Cayanna) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Doug O'Neill, mare is racing second back off a 10 month layoff, and is brought back in 15 days for this attempt. She's here at this "down the hill" trip in the past and must be left under consideration.

4th pick: #5 (Alway's a Chance) (7-2) - The second of the O'Neill runners, finished third last out, and was less than a length back of "Express." She has a bit of "hang" in her, but appears headed in the right direction.
