Top pick: #6 (BROTHER PETE) (2-1) - Lightly-raced and talented, strong finisher has gone 8-1-4-2 when racing on the grass and missed by a 1/2 length here at this distance Oct. 25. He stretches back out today off a second-place finish going a mile last out and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Scorcher) (6-1) - He ships back from Turf Paradise where he was a winner at this distance on Jan. 25 in his first off an Adam Kitchingman claim. Speed/stalker should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #3 (Cervaro) (7-2) - Lightly-raced and well-bred, 4-year-old has been freshened up since Dec. 14 when he was beaten four lengths at this level and distance at Hollywood park. No-speed type would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
4th pick: #2 (Power Ped) (15-1) - Gelding runs first off a re-claim by Ed Freeman and this "long-winded" type is capable of grabbing a small slice at a very big price.
