Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CONQUEROR) (7-2) - Well bred 4yo is stretching out in distance in his second start back from a nine-month layoff. Gelding by 'Malibu Moon' finished 2nd here going 6.5 furlongs March 16 for a $75,000 claiming tag. It was his first race since June 19 and first for trainer Vlad Cerin. He's worked three times since, is bred for this longer trip, and he meets a weak field for the level.
2nd pick: #4 (Legal Authority) (4-1) - Lightly raced 5yo is another racing second back from a long absence (9.5 months). He tired during the stretch run in his return after setting the pace until the 1/4 pole. He most likely needed the start and should be much fitter for this longer attempt.
3rd pick: #5 (UberStar) (12-1) - $200,000 purchase ships back from Golden Gate Fields where he was competitive in a pair of mile races on the Tapeta surface there. Stalker may grab a share at a big price in this spot.
4th pick: #7 (Latitude) (4-1) - Home bred has more early speed than most and finished 3rd here at this level going a mile March 19. It was his first start in five months and he's worked three times since. Must be left in the mix.
