Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (I'LL PLAY MY HAND) (6-1) - Price play returns off a 40-day layoff a NEW gelding. Stalker is stretching out in distance after a pair of good efforts at Del Mar sprinting at this level. Working fast, he draws the rail in his 3rd off a two month break.
nd pick: #3 (Poythress) (9-2) - Colt is dropping in class and switching from turf to dirt. Son of 'Bellamy Road' has run well on the main track in the past and has a trio of recent local works showing.
rd pick: #4 (Architop) (4-1) - Well bred 4-year-old is racing off a two month break, dropping in class, and racing on the dirt for the first time. He been showing good early speed while facing tougher on the turf and is a strong factor if he handles the new surface.
th pick: #5 (Born to Serve) (10-1) - One of two entered by veteran Bill Spawr, he's shown early speed in two of his last three and is working very fast locally for his first since Aug 30. A 'live' longshot.
th pick: #10 (Woody's Folly) (7-2) - The second of the Spawr runners, he tired last out facing a bit tougher on the Del Mar grass. In his prior start, he ran a career best figure when finishing second on the dirt there at this tag and trip. Would like him more if he had a better post.
