Top pick: #8 (CODACIOUS) (2-1) - Filly has early speed and has finished third in both starts at this level. She was only beaten a bit more than a length on March 1st and has worked twice since. The horse to beat in a largely un-raced field.
nd pick: #7 (Jean Edward) (4-1) - She raced poorly March 5th when her connections had her going a mile on the grass. Filly had finished second in three straight dirt sprints prior to that and is a threat in this spot.
rd pick: #6 (Ain't She Pretty) (4-1) - Debuting filly is beautifully bred and working fast locally for her debut. Daughter of 'Unbridled's Song' is from the Hollendorfer barn and the Hall of Fame member wins at a solid 28% rate first out.
th pick: #11 (Twentyfive to Life) (15-1) - Also from the Hollendorfer barn, longshot is moving from turf to dirt and shortening up in distance. She's been bet in both starts and runs with blinkers on.
th pick: #10 (Stipend) (12-1) - She finished second at Del Mar in early Nov. at this level, but has regressed in her follow up pair. Working fast for her first since Feb 5, she may get a slice at a big price.
