Claimed that afternoon by Ryan Hanson, he's won with 3 of 12 (25%) off that move during 2019-20, and he shortens him up a 1/16th of a mile. I like this one's chances.
2nd pick: #2 (Minoso) (2-1) - He drops in class after tiring to lose by 11.5 lengths here going 6.5 furlongs facing tougher March 14. He runs third back off a pair of layoffs, drops to a new low, and is an obvious contender.
3rd pick: #6 (Red Valor) (4-1) - He broke his maiden at this distance Dec. 12 at Los Alamitos and has been competitive in two of three here at this level since then. Speed/stalker is in the mix with his normal effort.
4th pick: #7 (Irish Ballad) (15-1) - NEW gelding has been on the sidelines since Jan. 19. No speed type has some fast works since the minor operation and can grab a share in this one at a big price if able to avoid a wide trip.
