Top pick: #10 (PUFF PASTRY) (2-1) - Reddam home-bred has finished second it two of her four grass starts and last out did so here at this often "tricky" 6.5 furlong distance going "down the hill." That was a career best and came in second time blinkers. Draws a trouble free post and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (LIttle Unusual) (20-1) - Longshot has faced many tougher fields than this and last out was away "slowly" from the rail in the same Jan. 31 contest that "Pastry" exits. Can factor at a very big price with an alert getaway.
3rd pick: #4 (Gia Is a Bella) (8-1) - She has some speed and will be cutting back in distance in her third off a year's layoff. Barn (Tim Yakteen) is having a rough meet, but is too good to keep out of the winner's circle for much longer. "Live" price play.
4th pick: #5 (Lakeside Bride) (5-1) - On the sidelines since early August, she's working steadily at Golden Gate Fields for trainer Ed Moger Jr. and it's interesting that Bejarano sees fit to take the mount.
