Top pick: #6 (NOWALKING) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he's been competitive in four straight at this level. Latest effort saw him finish third on Dec. 28. He some serious traffic issues that day against a field tougher than this. He's worked fast three times since and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (J Serino) (6-1) - He exits the same Dec. 28 race as "Nowalking." $485K son of "Malibu Moon" set a brisk pace and tired to finish fourth, just over three lengths back of that rival. Good effort and he breaks from the rail today. He's a bit dangerous in a race without a lot of other speed on paper.
3rd pick: #7 (Simon Kenton) (8-1) - He lost his rider at the break in the same last race as both "Nowalking" and "J Serino." Improving prior to that a win candidate in this spot.
4th pick: #8 (The Custodian) (12-1) - No-speed type has made up good ground in several starts on the grass. In shape he's back on the dirt for the first time in almost 13 months. The faster the pace, the better his prospects.
