Top pick: #7 (MEMPHIS) (5-2) - Three time winner just missed at this level going 7-furlongs at Del Mar Nov. 21st. It was his first off a Bob Hess, Jr. claim and enters in very sharp form. Speed/stalker is capable on conventional dirt and is at his favorite distance (11-2-4-2). He gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Kill Shot) (7-5) - The probable favorite, he's gone 5-1-3-1 so far and has been razor sharp in both local starts. Working fast, and he's racing second back off a long layoff.
3rd pick: #4 (He's On His Toes) (5-1) - Hollendorfer runner has early speed and is one for one on conventional dirt. That win came here at this distance on Oct. 13th. Working fast, he has room for upside, but needs to do better to threaten the top two choices.
4th pick: #3 (Willa B Awesome) (7-2) - Stakes placed back in 2013, he's been away from action since Sept. of that year. He's a new gelding, is working fast, and is a threat if ready off the 15 1/2 month layoff.
