Top pick: #5 (BAYERN) (5-2) - Colt is one of three entered by trainer Bob Baffert and this son of "Offlee Wild" is one of two debuting for the "Hall of Famer." This $320K 2-year-old purchase has some very impressive drills on his AM tab and several have come from the gate. Barn wins at a 26% clip first out and I like this Kaleem Shah owned 3-year-old.
2nd pick: #6 (Los Barrachos) (15-1) - Longshot raced evenly when debuting on the Hollywood "poly" going 6-furlongs on Dec. 7. Home-bred by "Pulpit" moves to conventional dirt and the additional furlong he travels today is in his favor.
3rd pick: #3 (Snuggley Bear) (7-2) - Since finishing fourth when debuting at Del Mar, colt has gone 4-0-3-1 and ran second here going 6-furlongs in his only previous race on real dirt. Working very fast for this and is an obvious win candidate.
4th pick: #4 (Hold Everything) (4-1) - Another of the Baffert trio, colt has gone 3-0-2-1 so far and all have come going around two-turns. Working fast, is in shape, and this speed/stalker should like the shorter trip.
