Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (MISCHIEVOUS CHAMP) (4-1) - This race has been switched to the main track at the same 6.5-furlong distance. On the sidelines since Dec. 4, she finished a close 3rd that day debuting at this level in a grass sprint at Del Mar. Training well on the local dirt, I like her chances.
2nd pick: #5 (True Testament) (7-2) - One of two from the Hollendorfer barn, she has the best early speed of those that have raced. Competitive in two of three on the dirt, she's in shape, working fine, and should be involved every step. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Stormin Babe) (5-1) - Maryland shipper moves from grass to dirt and does so for a new trainer (Mike McCarthy). Filly has been sharp at Laurel in all three grass sprints, and she worked a sharp local half-mile on the main track Jan. 29. Dangerous today.
4th pick: #1 (Tammy's Window) (10-1) - Freshened up since Dec. 2, she's moving from grass to dirt, and is shortening back up in distance. Filly has some speed and may factor at a big price.
