2nd pick: #5 (All Good) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert trained pair, he was away slowly and raced evenly when debuting on a sloppy surface Dec 6 at Los Alamitos Race Curse. Trainer wins at a 22% clip second time out and this home bred should run much better on a fast track.
3rd pick: #6 (Mo Mississippi) (5-1) - Another son of 'Uncle Mo', this colt sold for $370,000 this past April. He finished second when debuting at Los Al Dec 8 and was 3.5 lengths in front of 'All Good' at the wire. Well backed that day (2-1) he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Alleva) (10-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, he finished a distant second at this level going a mile at Del Mar Nov. 24. Competitive in three straight on the grass prior to that, the colt is capable of getting a share at a big price.
5th pick: #11 (Big Scot Daddy) (8-1) - Debuting colt by 'Scat Daddy' worked a bullet half-mile from the gate here Nov. 19 and it's noted that Mike Smith is aboard for his debut. That fact would suggest that the barn likes this $140K purchase.
