Top pick: #7 (CUSTOMER BASE) (5-2) - Veteran stakes mare raced both evenly and extremely wide when breaking from a tough outside post (10th of 10) in the (G2) "Buena Vista" stakes going a mile here on Feb. 17th. Working well since, she draws a better post, and has won on this course at this longer distance in the past.
2nd pick: #3 (Stormy Lucy) (2-1) - The "morning line" favorite, she rallied to win the (G2) "Santa Ana" here going nine-furlongs March 16. Hard-hitting mare has a strong closing kick and almost always brings her best.
3rd pick: #2 (Miss Serendipity) (6-1) - Argentine-import has fine early speed and last out tired to finish third, 2 1/2 lengths back of "Lucy" in the local "Buena Vista." Working well for this, and her early speed in this rather pace-less gives her a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #5 (Floral Romance) (8-1) - Mare ran evenly in the local "Santa Ana" (G2) March 14 in her first off the East Coast and first for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. Lightly raced 5yo has worked fast since and may factor at long odds.
