Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (GEMSTORM) (4-1) - Speedy colt is dropping in class and is racing with blinkers added by trainer Doug O'Neill. He's tired in both starts facing tougher and breaks from the rail. Think he can go gate to wire against this group.
2nd pick: #5 (Tell Me a Story) (7-2) - Un-raced since making his debut July 10 at Del Mar, he tired badly after rushing up following a slow break. Working well at San Luis Rey Downs and trainer Pete Miller is off to a great start at this meet 12-4-3-2.
3rd pick: #3 (Pundy ) (9-2) - Debuting gelding is from the same barn (Pete Miller) as 'Tell Me a Story.' He's worked a half dozen times since Aug 17 and it's noted that Bejarano is aboard. The trainer/jockey combo isn't teamed up that often, but are 7-for-28 (25%) over the past 21 months.
4th pick: #4 (Huevos Rancheros) (10-1) - Colt moves back up in class following a third place finish here Sept. 2. He has some early speed and may hold down a share of this at a big price.
