Top pick: #7 (RAISED A SECRET) (6-1) - Price play has been very sharp over the past 14 1/2 months (8-1-4-3) and is nearing his best after coming off a 7 1/2 month layoff March 26th. He gets a rider up-grade to Raf Bejarano and draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong trip.
2nd pick: #4 (Seeking the Sherif) (2-1) - Stakes winner is taking a big drop in class for this attempt. Working fast for this, speed stalker has won seven times on the Santa Anita dirt, one less than the rest of this field combined. An obvious win candidate at short odds.
3rd pick: #6 (Caminetto) (4-1) - He had a world of promise at one time, but was injured late in 2012 and did not race again until July of 2014. He finished second here at this level April 25th, has worked fast since, and trainer Bob Baffert has him making back-to-back starts for the first time in 2 1/2 years.
4th pick: #1 (Head South) (7-2) - In career best shape at present, he's moving up in class after going 4-3-1-0 here this year. Stalker has the rail, continues to train sharply, and must be left in the mix.
