Six-year-old set a very quick pace in his first since Nov. 6 and first on the West Coast. Owner/trainer Dave Jacobson is having a solid meet of 7-for-24 (29%) and this gelding gets a slight edge from his inside draw.
2nd pick: #2 (True Valor) (9-5) - Colt drops to a new low and is shortening up in distance. He weakened late here going a mile for twice this price April 29 and I like the fact that he's brought back quickly for this attempt.
3rd pick: #3 (Well Measured) (7-5) - The morning line favorite, he finished a pace-setting third going 6 furlongs for a $12,500 tag April 14. Another who was much classier at one time, he runs today first off a Ron Ellis claim and must be left in the three-horse win mix.
